Peanut Butter Cookies
- In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, margarine, sugar, water, and vanilla and mix until well blended. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt and stir well to form a smooth dough. Cover and chill until firm, about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface to a 1⁄4 inch thickness. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters or the rim of a small drinking glass. Use a metal spatula to transfer the cookies to an unreleased baking sheet.
- Bake until lightly browned at the edges, 8 to 10 minutes. Cool the cookies slightly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
